In keeping with our Springy theme, I've decided to write a review on a fresh, amazingly hip restaurant myself and a couple of friends discovered a few days ago. Located in the Houston's trendy midtown district, REEF Restaurant & 3rd Bar, with its ocean palette decor, is a calming oasis for a late lunch date with the girls by day and a lively, bustling hotspot to see and be seen at night! REEF, as evident by its name offers seafood cuisine with a global twist! It's the perfect way to celebrate the begining of the Spring season!
On arrival, we were greeted by a charming hostess and were quickly tended to. I must say, food was worth every penny and the drinks did not disappoint! At the end of the night we were thoroghly satisfied.its also a perfect destination for a happy hour meet up with the collegues or class mates! Their award winning 3rd Bar has an extensive selection of wine, champagne and beer as well as a great number of carefully crafted cocktails to tantalize your taste buds and excite your senses, that is, if the food isnt enough, which trust SAFFRON, it is!! All in all the Reef Rastaurant & 3rd Bar get an A+. Its definately worth your time and money.
If you are a little stumped by the menu and havent the slighted clue what to order try the Red fish on half shell with the mac and cheese for dinner, or the grilled salmon BLT and pesto aoli with a lemon drop martini for lunch If you just want to pop in for happy hour, then try the tarte flambe pizza and a lycheetini shaker!
Either way, tell them SAFFRON send ya!
