Good Hair

Chris Rock is at it again; revealing the truth and discussing taboos in a comic way. Sundance Film Festival will be releasing a documentary done by Chris rock titled "Good Hair", a review of the 9 billion dollar black hair business that thrives on reiterating the importance of having beautiful Caucasian like hair...if you are black that is. He explains that his inspiration and motivation to look into this aspect of black women's lives was triggered by his daughter asking him why she didn't have good hair...That's a story most of us girls are familiar with growing up. I know this is a discussion I will probably have with my daughter at some point in her life apart from talking about the birds and the bees. At the moment I am bracing myself for the days when I will have to comb and braid her hair...
